James Ira Carter born April 20, 1944, in Dublin, GA, departed from this life on September 20, 2022. He was one of four sons and four daughters born to the late William and Eldora Carter. At an early age, James gave his life to Christ. James was educated in the Dublin City School district. He moved to Queens, NY where he met and married Gail Marie Colley, they were blessed with one child, Yolanda Carter. His favorites were The Little Rascals, Three Stooges, and Old Westerns. He also enjoyed boxing, bowling, and an occasional poker tournament. He loved history trivia and could give you the historical background of just about any conflict in the world. He was a man who did things his way and was loved and respected for who he was.
