Jamie Levon Rogers, aka “Solo” , 43, of Akron, Ohio departed this life on Sunday, July 14, 2019. He was born January 17, 1976 to Linda Rogers and Freddie Lee Adams. Jamie Rogers moved to Akron in 1987 on the famous Taylor st. and from there he attended Margaret Park Elementary School. Jamie was a interesting kid to watch grow up. He would always watch videos. I couldn’t understand it, then it happened. He began to dance, and man he was a dancing machine. He moved to the Minnie Jets where the dancing really became official. That is when he was first known to the city famously as “Solo.” He also attended Roswell Kent and Garfield High School. Then, that’s where it all started to set in. Solo was more than a dancing machine; Solo was a fighter. Lol ! Man that dude worked them hands great! He would tell people, “ Go head on wit that mess man; have a great day!” smart ones would listen. Some wanted to gain a name and he knew it ,and it was all bad for them after that. He worked for 1 Plus Cleaning Company. and he was a cook for a short period of time. He was truly loved. There’s so much to say about Jamie (Solo) that there is no more to be said. He will be missed by us all and loved by many. The 4 Horsemen Long Live J. Solo.
