Janice Elaine Madden was born on February 6, 1951 in Detroit Michigan to the parents of Boisy and Elizabeth Glover. She was the third child of five.
In July of 1957, the family moved to Cleveland Ohio where she attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from East High School in 1970.
Janice began working at the age of 19 years old. Her first job was at TRW in Independence, OH. She was employed there for 20 years. While working at TRW she met, fell in love and married the love of her life Thomas Madden Sr.
After 20 years of service at TRW she later became employed with the Cleveland Board of Education as a School Bus Driver and from there she went on to become a driver for the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) until she retired in 2010.
She joined St. John Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. She later became a member of Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. The church merged with Leviticus Baptist Church and the church name changed to Leviticus Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. She served as the head Trustee, Usher and Choir Member. Janice was also active in the Prison Ministry.
Janice had many hobbies, she bowled in several leagues for 20 twenty years. She enjoyed sewing and “Do It Yourself Projects” in her home. Janice loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling and helping others and putting together huge family gatherings.
Janice is preceded in death by her mother; Elizabeth Glover, two brothers; Boisy Glover Jr and Derrick Glover.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Thomas Madden Sr., children; Deacon Strephon Glover, Tanesha Madden, Thomas Madden Jr., Tawana Young and Reuben Madden, grandchildren; Tijon Madden, Trejour Madden, Zyonna Reed, and Joy Young, two sisters; Linda Glover and Vazilyn Johnson, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.
