It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we share God has called home our beloved sister.
Jawanna L. (“WooDa”) Watkins was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She was born June 15, 1991 to loving parents, Kimberly Ammons (mother) and John Watkins (father).
She was number four of nine children and we will miss her immensely. The thing most remembered is her beautiful and magnetic smile that would just pull you in. When we think of our sister, it will be memories of a beautiful brown girl, both inside and out, with big laughs, a kind heart and a beautiful smile just as bright and warm as the sun. Please know we will carry you in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marva Dorsey.
She leaves to mourn, mother, Kimberly Ammons & father, John Watkins; maternal grandfather, Charles Douglas Poteete; paternal grandparents, Mary Watkins and John King; siblings, Rudy Ammons, Cierra (Ray) McMullen, Trashell Ammons, Javonte Ammons, Denzell Ammons, Jamal Griffin, Star Griffin and Precious Ammons; half sister, Natasha Watkins; nieces and nephews, Coleone, Daviona, Brian, Mykel, Reagan, Javiah & Rylan; aunts, Toka Dorsey, Tracey Watkins, Cindy Hall and Jesse Metchell; uncles, Tony Watkins & Charles Dorsey; special aunt, Marchell Primes; special godmothers, Tori Hopson and Sandy Hightower; cousins, Omar, Lamar, Rico, Larry Dorsey and Dorian Carter. She also leaves a host of family members and friends that she loved dearly, and they all sincerely loved her.
