Joanne Price was the third child born to the late Hillard and Ethel Humphrey on June 5, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Joanne was educated in the Cleveland Public School system, graduating from John Adams High School in 1971.

In 1969, Joanne Price, while at a church event, met and later married Oscar Lee Price Jr. To this union, two children were born. Kisha Marie and Oscar lll.

Joanne worked various jobs throughout her lifetime. She later began working at G.E., and after several promotions and 20 plus years of dedicated service, she retired in 2011.

Joanne was a God loving Christian. Early in life, she attended Addison Rd. Church of Christ and University Church of Christ. Joanne final church home was Calvary Apostolic Assembly, where she was loved immensely. Joanne volunteered countless hours of assistance in the church kitchen and also assisted in Calvary’s food bank program.

Joanne was extremely generous. She hosted many family dinners where she purchased waaayyy too much food. Joanne was an extravagant gift giver and would without question give her last dollar and her last piece of clothing to relieve the stress of others.

After retirement, she was motivated to start her home daycare business where she loved and cared for many children. At the daycare, she met her first “My Baby” Xavier Maddox. Joanne even began hosting her back to school extravaganza, complete with bounce houses and a variety of carnival like attractions.

Joanne was preceded in death by sisters Rose Brown and Geraldine Cohen. She leaves to cherish her memory husband Oscar, brother John (Caryn) and Stephen Humphrey and sister Rosalyn Elam. Sister- in law Rita Ratcliff. Uncle Alex LaPrade. Her loving children Kisha (Jerrett), Oscar (Angel). Her adoring grandchildren D’Vaun, Ja’Rai, Ryan, Madison, and J.J. Her beloved great grands Harmony and Paige. Her God Children Kathy, Erica, LaLoni, and C.J. Also, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
