Joe Richardson was born December 8, 1928, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the oldest son of five children born to the union of the late Charlie Richardson Sr, and Louise L. Glover-Richardson. Joe was called home on Thursday September 7, 2023.
Joe attended Cleveland Public Schools but being the oldest he had to quit school at an early age to go to work to help provide for his mother and siblings. Joe worked at General Motors for 32 years. After retiring, he and his longtime love, Sandy, moved to Las Vegas, NV. Joe could not resist going back to work after retirement. He drove part time for The Pahrump Senior Center.
Joe was a proud, protective, and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, companion, and friend. He loved throwing parties, cookouts, playing cards, shooting pool, and hitting at the Casino. He spent hours listening to music and surfing the net on his computer. Joe, with several of his friends, formed “The Group” A.K.A “The Cadillac Boys.“ They would get together and throw the most memorable cabarets that are still being talked about today.
Joe leaves to celebrate his life and memories, his children Prevella Gilbert, Faith Welch, Jerrod Richardson (Lakesha) and Ja’Neatra Jordan; sister, Gracie Wells (Joe); brothers, Charlie Richardson (Brenda), Marvin Richardson, and Stanley Richardson (Beth); Fiancée Sandra Gardner and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Joe was proceeded in death by his father Charlie Richardson Sr, mother Louise Lee Richardson and daughter Jeanetta Richardson
