John Bennett Johnson Sr., passed away on December 13, 2016.

John is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn of 60 years.  Cherished father of Marquetta Rene Epps (Myron), John B. Johnson Jr., Yolande B. Johnson, and Jon Benet Johnson.  Loving brother of Minnie L. Rembert, Miller N. Johnson, Ossie Harris, Arie Terry, Velma Moore and Velator Burrell; Proud grandfather of Emerson C. Coleman, Jonet Winthorp and Morris Johnson. A host of other relatives and friends; also, his sister in-law, Osie Johnson and best friend, Romeo Mays Sr.;

John is preceded in death by his; parents Eliza & Miller (Donnie) Johnson, surrogate Mother & Great Aunt Anita Pierce; 16 siblings: Earnest Johnson, Amos Johnson, Lucy Marquerite Johnson, Earl Johnson, Cleophus Johnson “Pig”, Lee Van Johnson, Oscar Johnson, Annie Belle LeSure, Willie Kirksey “Honey”, Sarah Jane Wilson, Bernard Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Marie Gamble, Abraham Dexter, Emma Dixon and Mary.
