Johnny Mathis Jr., went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2016.

Johnny cherished father of Michael Mathis, Myrna Mathews, Marjorie Chambers and Marcus Mathis. 4 children deceased; Johnny III, Mary, Myron and Marcie Mathis. Loving brother of Gladys Gilmore 4 siblings deceased; M.J., Thelma and Ruby Mathis and Adell Slaughter. Grandfather of 16 and Great-Grandfather of 33.

Myrna and family: i extend my condolence to you. Keep in mind Jehovah's promise of a paradise earth where sickness and death will be gone. (Revelation 21:4). We have put all of our trust and confidence in the Bible's promise because we know that God cannot lie. (Numbers 23:19)

To family and friend's, I'm so sorry about the loss of your loved one. Death is not and never was God's purpose for humans. That's why he promises to resurrect all those who have fallen asleep in death.
