Joseph W. Idley (Joe) was born on November 4, 1946, in Akron, OH. Joe passed away peacefully with his loving wife nearby. He graduated from Copley High School and served in the U.S. Air Force as a weapons mechanic. He was honorably discharged in July 1972. He worked for AT&T for many years retiring in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fuller and Emma Idley; brothers, Fuller Idley, Jr. and Thomas Idley; sisters, Felicia Smart and Phyllis Idley; granddaughter, Nina Idley.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Patricia A. Idley; children, Felicia (Jamil) France, Joseph (Elena) W. Idley, Jr., Thomas (Crystal) A. Idley, Shawn A. Idley,, and Marcus A. Idley; 16 grandchildren, Paris A. Idley, Josiah Idley, Tahj Idley, Taiki Idley, Shawn A. Idley, Jr., Kaleb Lopp-Idley, Briacia Idley, Jaila France, Doriauna France, Marie Idley, Crystal Idley, Chianti Idley, Callie Idley, Sai Idley, Blaique Lopp; 2 great-grandchildren, Elaina Martin and Messiah Lopp; special niece and nephew, Victoria Smart and David Smart, and a host of friends and other relatives.
