Juanita worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years as a secretary. Juanita was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she volunteered in the “noon day lunch” ministry for many years. She was also a life member of Mary Chapter #47, Order of the E.S.

Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Gilbert Pickett, her parents Walter and Connie Faison, brothers Lavern, Rephonza, and Walter, Jr., sisters Bernice Bradley and Agnes Grant. She leaves to mourn her passing, son Gilbert Christopher (Jane); brother William (Mary Ann) of Canton, Michigan; sister Angela Parker of Akron; grandsons Chris Farrey of Akron and Aaron Farry of Texas; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Juanita Pickett (nee Faison) went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2024. Juanita was born in Allenhurst, Georgia to Walter and Connie Faison, the fifth of 8 children. Heaven is rejoicing they have received another angel from Macedonia Baptist Church. My Sundays and Mondays will not be the same. I will miss delivering dinners to her and her challenging us on Mondays as we played “Hand and Foot”. Sis Pickett soft spoken voice will be missed, she was a wonderful example for us at Macedonia Baptist Church, teaching us how to be a Christian lady. She was always there for me to give me motherly advice, especially her encouraging words as we worked on the Noon day lunch program. Chris, and Ms. Ginger, you have my deepest condolences and prayers.

Another "Angel" entered the pearly gates of Heaven. Mrs. Juanita's soft-spoken voice and warm smile will be remembered, especially the Macedonia Baptist Church, Noon Day Lunch Program. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Juanita.
