On September 12, 2021, the Lord called home one of his angels, Judy C. Parmer. She was born May 22, 1949 to Mary Ann Brown and Robert Brown.
She was united in marriage to Talmon G. Parmer. Judy was a loving, devoted wife and also a member of the community for 72 years, having resided in California and North Eastern Ohio. She was a faithful member of the church in Cleveland, Ohio. She was employed by the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, at both the Brecksville and Cleveland Division as a Telephone Operator. Her kind demeanor and distinct pleasant voice was recognized by many veterans outside of the hospital. In fact, her conversations with disgruntled veterans were taped and utilized as orientation training sessions for new employees. In this regard, she demonstrated how to treat all veterans and people with respect and patience. She was a recipient of the ‘Wings of Excellence Award”, the highest honor awarded to a VA employee.
Judy had a zest for life and living and did so every day. She loved reading, discussing politics, traveling by cruising the seas to faraway places. Her passion was her grandchildren, Desi and Chris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann and Robert Brown, as well as her husband, Talmon Parmer and a host of relatives on both sides of her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved brothers, Barney (Ann) Blair of Riverside, CA; Robert Blair of Las Vegas, Nevada; Leroy Parmer of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Della Marshall of Charlotte, NC; daughter Tonia (Robert) Williams and grandchildren, Desiree and Christopher of Oceanside, CA; special cousins, Frankie and JoAnne Franklin Pensacola, FL; dear friend, Ms. Evelyn Campbell &|family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Our beloved Judy requested a graveside service and we, the family, are honoring her wishes.
Please arrive by 11:00am for the 11:30am service.
