Judy Estes Carter, age 75 of Cleveland Ohio made her transition from this life on January 15, 2025.
Judy was born January 9, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Bernice Cummings Estes and Ivery Estes. Both preceded her in death. She was the oldest of six children. Her siblings, Denise and Dennis Estes also preceded her in death. She was married to John Evans and after divorcing him, she later married Grant Carter, who also preceded her in death.
She was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. She graduated from John Hay High School.
Judy attended various churches seeking her spiritual path, the last of which was Miracle Church of Religious Science, now known as Miracle Center for Spiritual Living. She joined Miracle Center January 4, 1994, and attended it until she became disabled.
Judy was disabled for many years, but during those years, she never complained and always maintained a positive attitude. She also loved going to adult day care centers.
Judy was a loving mother and grandmother who was a generous and caring individual to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Judy was a dedicated and hard worker at whatever job she held. Her first job was as a Data Entry Clerk at a grocery store chain. She also worked as an Airport Passenger Assistant Agent and later held a job as a Security Guard.
Judy’s favorite pastimes was cooking, especially spaghetti and chili, and. baking cakes. She also loved spending time with her family, eating her favorite desserts, watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and traveling.
Judy was called to be with the Lord, January 15, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory: her only dedicated daughter, Karine Evans; two granddaughters, Jazmine Shabazz and Kimora Brown; one great granddaughter, Zaria Shabazz; one brother, Ralph Estes; two sisters: Darling Chambers and Daretha Austin; one brother-in-law, Charles Austin; a devoted cousin, Susie Lamar and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
