Kary is preceded in death by his parents. Nine brothers, Alfred, Richard, Reymond, Manuel, Harry, Edgar James, Clarence, Jim, Curtis, Two Sisters, Dorthy and Beatrice.

Kary leaves to mourn: his wife Lillie Stephens; his children, Delores Nicholas (Michael), Geneva Styles, Eddie Stephens (Deborah), Louis Buttler; Nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
