Katherine (Kat or Kathy) Brady was born on February 1, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio to Johnnie (deceased) and Odell Cobb. She was the second of six children.
Katherine attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from Glenville High School in 1971. At an early age well before she graduated Katherine made the most important decision of her life. She had the privilege of being raised from infancy to come to know about Jehovah. Katherine enjoyed what she was learning about Jehovah and loved him to the point that on February 16, 1963, at the age of 11 years old made her dedication to Jehovah. This helped her develop into a kind, loving, and spiritual person.
Katherine had many hobbies. She came to enjoy roller skating, traveling, doing her nails, dancing, chic dressing, and reading. She was an industrious person. She enjoyed helping others whenever she could. She took delight in cleaning. After High School one of her earliest jobs was working at Bobby Brooks Clothing Store. Here is where Katherine developed her love for fashion. She later went to work at United Airlines.
Working at United Airlines allowed Katherine to travel to numerous places. In her traveling, Katherine was able to enjoy the creations of Jehovah. In 1975, Katherine met Rufus Brady. They soon married on October 22, 1977. To this union they were blessed with three children. Marino “Shawn” (Debin), Milan (Amber), and Myra. Katherine helped in aiding her children in learning about Jehovah. She always wanted her children to be on time for school – she herself was a very punctual person. In addition, Katherine expected her children to be well behaved, dressed nice and neat, and to do their chores. Soon Katherine took her love for cleaning and used it for making a living for quite some time. Throughout her life she worked various jobs.
Katherine was a faithful servant of Jehovah and especially enjoyed door to door and informal witnessing and letter writing.
She was also a wife, mom, daughter, sister, grandma, great grandma, and loyal friend and is survived by her husband Rufus of 47 years. Five grandchildren, Kayla, Amber, Milan Jr, Brett, and Kynnadi. One great grandchild Karson. Mother Odell Cobb. Five siblings Johnny (Terry), Melvin, Teresa, Kelvin (Diane), Ronald (Tamara), and a host of nieces and nephews.
Katherine was known by all as a family-oriented, kind, selfless person, and a loyal servant of Jehovah. Her sweetness will be missed.
