Kenneth Leon Bouyer, beloved father, brother, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on September 28, 2024, in his home in Maple Heights, Ohio. Born on August 31, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kenneth lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication to his family and community.
Kenneth was the cherished son of Clem Bouyer and Georgette (Bouyer) Brown, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving partner, Yvette Moore, and his four children: Maria, Kelley, Reggie, and Naomi. Kenneth is also survived by his siblings Janice Van Leer, Elizabeth Harper (John), Deborah Mason-Hundley (Anthony), and Denise Kelley (Leonard). He was preceded in death by his siblings Barbara Jean White and Anthony Mark Bouyer. From his youth until death he loved his core group of friends, the Holloman family, Michael Pearson and Lessie Milton Jones. He will be fondly remembered by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
Kenneth grew up in Cleveland, where he nurtured a love for building model cars and airplanes as a child. He attended Benedictine High School, graduating with a strong foundation for the future. Shortly after, in 1972, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country. His service took him to destinations far and wide, including the Philippines, Hawaii, and other parts of the world. During his time in the Air Force, he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon.
After his service, Kenneth pursued higher education and earned a Master’s Degree in Business from Cleveland State University in 2009. His academic journey took him to Amsterdam, where he broadened his global perspective. Kenneth continued his professional career as an Engineering Supervisor at Parker Hannifin, where he was respected for his leadership and expertise.
A lover of nature, Kenneth was affectionately known as “Farmer Ken” for his deep love of the earth. He found peace in gardening and had a special bond with the animals in his life, including his dogs Ace, Apollo, Tink, Beth, and Roco, his sister’s dog. They remained by his side until the very end.
In his later years, Kenneth found joy and companionship in his local senior community group in Maple Heights. He was cherished by many and will be missed for his kindness, wisdom, and the joy he brought into every room he entered.
Kenneth lived a life of quiet strength and unwavering love for those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of service, compassion, and dedication to family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
