Kim Marie Smith was born on July 24, 1961 to the union of Zelia and Calvin Smith in Cleveland, Ohio.
Kim received her education through the Cleveland City School district. She attended the John F. Kennedy High School and earned her diploma in 1979.
In 1986, Kim married Darrell Henderson Sr. giving birth to two children, NeChe and Darrell Henderson Jr.
Kim Marie Henderson was a dedicated professional who contributed to the community in a significant way. In 2004, she manifested her dream by founding a company dedicated to providing transportation services for people with disabilities called “We Care Transportation”. Prior to her death, Kim worked in the manufacturing industry as a “Finishing Operator” for Norman Noble Incorporated.
Her dedication and love for the community had a significant impact on countless lives. Kim had a green thumb and loved planting flowers. Her beautiful flower garden illuminated her street and brought joy to many. Kim was a woman of deep spirituality who believed in living life consciously. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Kim during her 62 years, specifically; “The importance of gratitude” and “the power of love”.
It’s with deep sorrow that we announce Kim Marie Henderson passed away on September 7, 2023, peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her immediate loved ones.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother; Zelia Smith, father; Calvin Smith. sister; Kathy Smith
Kim leaves to cherish her daughter; NeChe Henderson. son; Darrell Henderson. Adored by her grandson, Kayden Stephens. nephew; Michael Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
As we remember Kim, we reflect on the quote she lived by, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth”. Kim Marie Henderson was a radiant beautiful soul who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
