L.V. Wells, age 83, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on August 10, 2024. L.V. was born March 15, 1941, to Eugene and Hattie Wells in Hoxie, Arkansas. In 1968, L.V. married Lonnie Ruth Foster in Akron, Ohio. The two of them were married 55 years.

L.V. Wells retired from Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg, Ohio where he was employed for 36 years. He was a faithful member and treasurer of Antioch Baptist Church until suffering a decline in health.

During his lifetime, L.V. enjoyed being a handyman, traveling to Tunica, Mississippi, playing cards and listening to his favorite musicians, Al Green and The Temptations.

L.V. was predeceased by his son, Alex; his parents, his brothers, Eugene Jr., George, Ulysses (Eddie) and Bobby; and his sisters, Edith (Sue), Senorla, Patricia and Omajean.

He is survived by his wife, Lonnie Wells; daughter, Nancy Wells; sons, Kevin (Terri) Wells, Carlus (Jennifer) Wells, Leon (Sarah) Henderson; daughter, Linda (Jim McCollum); sisters, Yvonne and Helen; brothers, Alfonso, Ghais F. Askia, Tommy, Larry and Michael (Helen); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and long-time friend, Willie “the Barber” Owens.

L.V. was a kind-hearted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
