Laura Ann McGuthry was born on March 25, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio to John Robinson and Cecil Inez McGuthry. Laura was a graduate of Lincoln West High School, Cleveland, Ohio, and also a graduate of MTI Business College.

Laura received Christ at an early age, at Tyree Temple, where she attended for many years. Laura worked at Key Bank, but later her love for the elderly and the disabled took her to another career. She worked for Lima Visiting Nurses, and later worked for Franklin County Board of MRDD for several years. After moving back to Cleveland, Laura worked for I AM BOUNDLESS for several years, until her illness.

Although never embarking upon motherhood herself, Laura was a second mother to her nieces. Laura enjoyed playing UNO and Scrabble and had a passion for decorating.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Cecil Inez, and her brother, Donald.

Laura leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers, Sanford, Anthony, and Steven; one sister, Sherry; and bonus brothers, Darren and Kenny; nieces, Shannon, Anique (Ali), Samirah, Lauryn, and Ashley; special cousin, Mary Evelyn Beavers; godmother, Shirley Tibbs; a very special friend, Nioka, and a host of cousins and friends.
