Leroy Young Jr. was born June 18, 1958, to the union of Leroy and Harriett Young in Akron, Ohio. Leroy departed this earthly life on November 29, 2021, surrounded by his family. Leroy spendt most of his life in Akron, Ohio and attended Akron Public Schools. Can’t leave out that as a child, Leroy though he was James Brown, dancing and performing. Leroy was the life and entertainment of any party. Leroy was an unpaid comedian. You rarely seen him anywhere without a suit and hat. Leroy traveled many states, near and far.

Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Young Sr.; and sister, Denise Holley.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Harriett McCraney; sisters, Venus Young and Brittany Young; niece, Tammy Gibson; nephew, Donte Gibson; children (nephews whom he helped to raise), Dathen and Luther Holley; children, Kenny, Sam, Lamar Shepard and Robert Gervins; like a daughter, Jasmine Griffin (Turk); special friends, Natelie Dinkins-Davis and Dionna Beasley; care-takers, Taliah Thompson and Tunya Moorer; as well as a host of relatives and friends who were ALL special to Leroy & may you all NEVER FORGET that!
