Lois Wilson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, surrounded by family. Born on June 3, 1946, to Ruby Lee and Charles Moreland, Lois grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, attending East Technical High School before pursuing higher education. She attended Wilberforce University for her undergraduate studies and later graduated from Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio.
Lois built a remarkable career as an executive accountant with BP Oil, later transitioning to a management role at Fidelity after her first retirement. Never one to sit idle, Lois retired again and became a successful day trader, applying her financial acumen and passion for investment in new and rewarding ways. Known for her warm spirit and fierce love for family, she married Milton Hayes Wilson in 1969, and together they raised one son, Marc Hayes Wilson.
Throughout her life, Lois found joy in many passions—whether through her keen eye for investments, spirited discussions about politics, or cooking lovingly for family gatherings. Her most cherished memories are her wedding day, the birth of her son and the births of her two grandchildren, her family was the heart of her world.
Lois leaves behind her devoted son Marc Hayes Wilson ‘her funny faced boy,’ two beloved grandchildren, ‘her darling granddaughter Kyndal D. Hayes Wilson ‘and ‘the King of the World’ Dylan Hayes Wilson, along with her dear sisters, Deborah Porter, and Margaret Moreland. She is also remembered fondly by a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives she touched.
Lois’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication lives on in the hearts of those she loved most. Her warmth and wisdom will be deeply missed.
