At the age of 93 years old Mrs. Lorena (Combs) Dollison, passed away in the early morning hours of June 16, 2024, in Akron, Ohio. In the days preceding her passing, she was surrounded by loving family from near and far.

Mrs. Dollison was born to Edward Combs and Fannie (Parks) Combs on September 16, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama. Edward and Fannie moved the family to Akron, Ohio and that is where she grew up as the baby of the family.  She had seven siblings: George, Robert, Eddie B, Charlie, Della, Timothy, & Oliver.

She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church since her childhood, and a graduate of Goodyear Middle School (East High School). Mrs. Dollison went on to work as a cook at various institutions around Akron as she began raising her own family. She and Sylvester Dollison married in 1970 and were happily wed until his passing in 1988.

Lorena was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sylvester Dollison; two sons, Carl Combs and Stevie Brown, as well as all seven of her siblings and their parents.

She is survived by her children, Arthur Combs, Gail Brown and Greg (Nancy) Brown; several nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren, and many great and even great-great grandchildren.
