Lorene Belle was born February 5, 1934, to Will & Ella Simmons in Livingston, Alabama. She was the eighth of ten children. Being in a close-knit family, Lorene loved the bond right at her mother’s skirt tail. Lorene graduated High School and soon after married Robert J Belle. The two moved to Cleveland, OH, joining other family.
To this union were born seven children. She was a devoted housewife and loving Mother. Lorene became a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Organization. She was active in the Theocratic Ministry School, Field Service and attended other weekly meetings and special assemblies. Her favorite TV shows were Andy Griffith, old westerns like Bonanza and Everybody Loves Raymond. She loved all her children and then some.

She also used the hot comb on many of us when the natural curl became too tight. Her TLC included caring for all the grandchildren and neighborhood kids too. Lorene was ever so comfortable at the Simmons Family Reunions. Seeing her siblings and their families, which you know, grew larger every year.
