Louise Annie attended Barberton High School. In 1948 she married Robert B Walker. She was the mother of Gwendolyn Joyce, Aubrey R., Rhona Ylande and Delari Joshua ,
Mother Louise Walker acknowledged Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. She was a faithful member of Wooster Ave. Temple (St. Ashworth Temple for over 80 years, she worked in the kitchen, bought food, cooked food and then served the food along with Mother Ida and Sister Jeanette Jordan. She sang in the Wooster Ave. Temple Trio and assisted Elder Richard with the choir when he was unavailable. She played the piano and gave Sister Ida Bradford her first solo to sing. Mother Walker loved to sing God’s praises. She shared her gift of singing with many who loved her. She opened her home to the saints after church, blessing them with wonderful dishes like turkey and dressing, pizza casserole, fried chicken, candied yams, many different salads, pound cakes, taco salad, and many other dishes. She loved to cook different dishes to share with her family and friends.
Mother Walker worked for the Akron Board of Education retiring in 2000.
Mother Walker joined Immanuel Temple in 2012 to support her son, Superintendent Aubrey R. Walker’s ministry. She was one of the mothers of the church who spoke every 5th Sunday teaching that we must be holy if we want to see Jesus.
Mother Walker is preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Walker her daughter, Gwendolyn Joyce McDaniel, her son, Delari Joshua Walker and her daughter, Rhona Ylande Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving, dedicated son, Aubrey R. Walker (Mae), grandchildren, Lamont, Lamar, Dwayne, Shanelle, Damel, Aubrey R. II. 8 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Deborah Scruggs, nieces, Brenda, Annette, Elizabeth and Beverly, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mother Walker departed this life to begin her new life with Christ on April 7, 2025.
