Lovie Artelia Hall was born on August 18, 1930 to the union of the late Omer and Martelia Reed in Vallscreek, WV.

She was the fourth of nine, four of which were born to Omer and Martelia Reed.  She leaves to cherish her memory Omer Reed Jr. of Tazwell, VA.   She was preceded in death by Syotha Williams, Omer Bobbie O’Neal, Frankie Reed, Letitia “Linky” Goddard, Jacqueline Moore, Bonita Perry, James Reed, all who preceded her in death.

Lovie attended Excelsior High School in WV.  At the age of 16, after her mother passed, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio to live with her siblings.  Lovie united in marriage to Lawrence Hall in 1948 and one daughter to that union, Sharon Artelia, was born.  Twelve years later to the union of Robert Clarence Maryweather was born Katherine Lee and four years later Quintina Denine.

Lovie confessed to Christ at an early age in WV and rededicated her life at Bethany Christian Church in Cleveland, OH.  She was a proud nutritional aid for the Department of Education until her retirement.  Lovie was also very active in voter registration and worked the polls religiously.  She was a selfless caring soul who often opened her home and embraced those in need.

Lovie enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards and spending quality time with her family.  As long as she had her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren she was satisfied and happy.

Lovie was a loving person with a mind like a computer and memory like a hawk.  She could recite birthdays and anniversaries of all her children and relatives of four generations.

Lovie lived a long and fruitful life and will be missed by all whose lives she touched!

She leaves to cherish fond memories her beloved children Sharon (Ronald), Katherine, Quintina “Tina” (James); grandchildren Andrea “Mickey” (Prentiss), Kimberly (Darren), James “Trey” Ronald (Regina); great-grandchildren Prentiss “PJ”, Cameron, Morgan, Ronald “Lil-Man”, Latasha, Domonique, Joshua; two great great grandchildren; four adopted daughters Helen Bradley, Sherbee Gomez, Gwen Peevs, Sherri Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
