Lucille P. (Patton) Mitchell was born October 26, 1936 to the late James and Mary Patton. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers; Willie Lee, Jesse, James, Rudolph, and 2 sisters; Mary and Audrey.
Lucille was raised in Tuscaloosa, (Alberta City) Alabama until high school. Lucille relocated to Columbus, Mississippi to reside with her aunt and uncle who raised her like a daughter, following the death of her mother.
Lucille attended and graduated from Hunt High School in 1956. It was in high school where Lucille, who was affectionately known as (Honey), met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, James William Mitchell. They were united in marriage September 23, 1956 and out of that union they had two daughters, Joule Reese and Teverious Mobley.
Lucille spent most of her time being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She developed a love for music and learned to play the piano at a very early age. She was proud to share that she once played for gospel singer James Cleveland when his piano player didnβt show for a performance at her church.
Some years after moving the family to Cleveland Ohio, Lucille was introduced to the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR) in 1977. She enjoyed and studied the teachings of the Founder Dr. Henry C. Kinley, who said he had a divine vision and revelation in the year 1931. She was a faithful and devoted member. She attended classes in Indianapolis In. for the last 10 years until the end of her journey. She went to sleep at home December 19, 2024 looking forward to his promise, of a Rosy Future. She loved and believed in her Heavenly Father Yahweh and looked forward to eternal life!!!
She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters: Joule Reese, and Teverious Mobley, 5 grandchildren Dexter D Mitchell (Maria), Nakia Mills, Katrell Mills (Shirron), Ralanda King (DeAndre), DeAnna Mobley; 14 great grandchildren, Brittney (Tony), Bria (Kiera), Jaymere, (Brianna) Enavell, Eleese, Demar, Randy, Devynaire, Dalahna, Karon, Kavon, Denym, Dallas, JeNae; 6 great, great grands Harmony, Tristan, Amaryian, Payton, Bryson, Amiya, and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.
