Luther E. Johnson was born on January 29, 1961, to the late Samuel Johnson and Dorothy Johnson. He attended South High School, where he played football. Upon graduation, he worked for Akron Metropolitan Housing for over 15 years.
He was a passionate football fan who loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of his favorite activities was cooking for his family, grilling ribs and chicken and eating pizza.
Luther helped to raise his grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with them. He was a cool and laid back guy and he will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel; mother, Dorothy and brother, Samuel Johnson Jr.
Luther leaves behind his daughter, KaSonya (Stephen) Coteat-Deem; grandsons, Dahtray and Elijah Coteat; brother, Earl Johnson; nephew, Earl Johnson Jr. and a host of other family members and friends.
