What is a friend?
A friend is someone you’ve been playing with since 1989
A friend is someone that no time or distance can make the friendship die.
A friend is someone who jumps in and finishes off a bully that wouldn’t leave you alone.
A friend is someone who prayed for your salvation after finding out you “left home.”
A friend is someone who helped you move and we all know only real friends help you do that.
A friend is someone who shows you how to turn your yellow emojis black.
A friend is someone who came with his whole family to celebrate your wedding nuptials
A friend is someone who forgives when you’re late cuz he knows you’re never punctual
A friend is someone who loves the Lord and wants you to love him too
That friend was the first friend I ever made and I’ll miss you, Maceo Calhoun!

Though his physical body may be asleep, he is still very much alive in the spirit.
His desire for others to be saved is above anything else and his love for God and Jesus surpasses anyone I have known thus far.
1 Corinthians 2:9 says "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
I pray the Holy Spirit to bring comfort and peace to those who are mourning. Rest assured, Maceo's spirit dwells with the Father and we shall meet again one day.
