Malick Cubby Miah was born on August 22, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Pauline Miah and Aflak Miah. He was one of six children and was raised with strong family values that guided him throughout his life. Malick accepted Christ at an early age, a faith that remained an important foundation for him.
Malick was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. On July 28, 1984, he married Sandra Martin, and together they shared 41 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, travel, laughter, and treasured moments spent enjoying and supporting their family. From this loving union, Malick and Sandra were blessed with four children: Ebony, Melynie, Alexis and Allante.
Malick dedicated 28 years of service working in transportation for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) until his retirement. After retiring Malick continued to enjoy working in transportation with ABM Parking and Transportation as a casino shuttle bus driver and he also worked as a school bus monitor for First Student Inc. for the Euclid City School District. He took pride in his work and in serving the Cleveland community.
Known for his vibrant personality, Malick was truly the life of the party. He was an entertainer at heart-a singer, jokester, and natural storyteller whose humor and warmth drew people to him. Friendly, ambitious, and family-oriented, Malick took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Malick found joy in singing, listening to music, and cheering on his favorite Cleveland teams, including the Cavaliers and the Cleveland Guardians. Karaoke was among his favorite pastimes, and music remained a constant source of happiness and connection throughout his life.
Malick was known for his kindness and generosity, often willing to give the shirt off his back to help others. His legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Malick was deeply grateful and filled with joy that his son, Allante, lovingly stepped into the lead role as his caregiver alongside his devoted wife Sandra, supported by the unwavering care of his entire family.
