Mamie Louise Clark was born on February 3, 1930, in Akron, OH to the late Roy and Maggie White. As a lifelong resident of Akron, she attended public schools graduating from Central High School in 1948. Louise became a charter member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in 1936. She remained a faithful member for 70 plus years serving as a church clerk, Sunday, and Vacation Bible School teacher, introducing all to Christ. (She was always concerned about our Christian walk). She was a member of the choir, nursing guild, and pastoral care service. She also had been one of the mothers of the church until moving to Eastpoint, GA, where she continued her Bible studies at First Baptist Church. She later relocated to Atlanta, where she continued her Bible studies at home with her daughter Janice. She loved worship and praise songs.
Louise was a freelance Master Pressor in the dry-cleaning industry until she retired. She introduced these skills to the grandchildren, who showed interest. She is the second oldest of 7 siblings. Her marriage to Albert Clark, Sr. was 67 years long and they had 4 children. She loved to teach the Bible, especially to the young, teaching and playing the piano, bowling, (where she could have been a professional), swimming and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Clark, Sr.; daughter, Barbara; brothers, Edward, and Willie James White.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Grace Gladman, Janice Orr of Atlanta; son, Albert, Jr. (Josielynn Esparar) of Florida; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Peacock, Ida Mae Johnson; brothers, Jadie, John (Theresa Lopez) White of North Carolina and Gerald White; in-laws, Wilford Clark, Mary Alice Ricks, and Nettie Jewel Henderson; beloved cousin, Shirley Shropshire; devoted niece, Viola Martin, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
