Born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 17, 1949 to Evelyn and Otis Redmond Sr. Margaret attended Cleveland Public Schools. Margaret accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. Margaret married Hilton Watkins Jr. on September 9, 1967, and to that union gave birth to two children, Michelle and Jerold, whom she loved dearly. Margaret was a STNA for over 30 years and loved to help others. She retired from University Hospital and continued her passion in helping others and became the manager at AMG’s Adult Family Homes where she held that position for over 12 ½ years. Margaret treated everyone that came into the Homes with dignity, love, and compassion, and everyone loved and respected her.
Margaret was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and the casino. She loved the sound of the slot machines. Margaret loved watching football and basketball, she was a big Browns and Lebron James fan.
Margaret was called to eternal rest on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She will be missed by all who knew her. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter Michelle (Andre Sr.), son Jerold Sr (Yolonda), sisters, Joyce and Vivian, brothers Otis Jr., Jimmy-Lee (who proceeded her in death) (Mamie), Sylvester (Minnie), Ralph (Karen), grandchildren, Sean Jr. (LaToya), Andre Jr., Jerold Jr., Damone, Dante(Yolanda), Ashanti (Jasmine), Daivonte, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, significant other, Franklin Lavender, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
