Mark A. Johnson went home to be with the lord on September 5th, 2023.
Mark was born September 8th, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John Fuller Jr. and Lois Francis Johnson McDowell. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a man who loved the Lord with his whole heart. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Church Treasurer.
Mark went on to attend Beatrice Beauty Academy and later became a Licensed Cosmetologist for over 35 years. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
But more than anything. Mark was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family sharing stories, playing card games, and hosting holiday dinners. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Mark enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, listening to music, and occasional trips to the casino. He was always eager to share knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Mark loved to laugh and sing no matter the audience he was going to hit those notes with conviction and passion!
His sisters Michelle McDowell and Marsha Fuller preceded Mark in death.
Mark is survived by his son, DAngelo, his siblings: Linda Johnson, Annette Johnson, James McDowell (Regina McDowell), Allen McDowell (Barbara Dickinson), Ruth Fuller, Paul Fuller, Marilyn Fuller, John Fuller III, John Derek Fuller, Joseph Fuller and Timothy Fuller), his grandchildren, (Angel McCall, Andrew McCall, Jordan McCall, Kyrie Johnson, and Naya Johnson) and a host of nephews and nieces.
