Mark Thomas, Sr. was born on April 9, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Frank Jr. and Ola Ree Thomas.
Mark received his formal education in the Cleveland Public School system. He learned the value of hard work at a young age. His employment began with Blaushild Chevrolet and Bud Brady Ford as a service representative. He worked as a cross-country truck driver for the C.R. England company for several years. He then started employment at the Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) as a driver then later transferred to a Transit Dispatch position at the Terminal Tower location in downtown Cleveland. Mark was always a dedicated and conscience employee and was respected by all he met.
Mark was a very particular man. He took pride in the way he looked and carried himself. He enjoyed projects around the house such as home improvements and landscaping. Mark was a great cook, he looked forward to a good meal and a good movie. On Sundays he loved cleaning and listening to old-school music.
