Mark Anthony Parks, affectionately known as “MP” was born September 26, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Jimmy Washington and Isabelle Middlebrooks. He was lovingly raised by his mother, Isabelle, and his stepfathers, Edward Middlebrooks and Richard Harper.  Mark departed this life on October 14, 2025, at Larchwood Care Facility in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mark was the second oldest of seven siblings. He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Parks and sister Angela Parks (Al Jackson). He is survived by his siblings Michael (Bethany) Parks, Loretta Parks, Gary Parks, and Keith (Trevis) Harper.

Mark attended John Adams High School. In 1979, he met the love of his life, Petrina. The two were married in 1990 and together they built a beautiful life, raising two beloved daughters.

A talented chef, Mark worked at Sammy’s in the Flats and later at Bedford Anodizing Company. In his later years, he pursued his passion for hands-on work by doing home repairs with a close friend. Mark loved repairing cars, cooking, spending time with his family and friends, and playing dominos.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Petrina Parks; his daughters, Megan (Donta) Robinson and Marissa Parks; and his treasured grandchildren, Dreu, Montana, and Drai. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

Mark’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
