Marlene Beverly Moore, 90, Devoted Nurse and Cherished Matriarch
Marlene Beverly Moore (nee Beverly Marlene Crum), 90, passed away on December 11, 2025. A graduate of Juniata Valley High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Marlene dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse in Cleveland, serving at Mt Sinai Hospital and Kaiser Health until her retirement in 1992.
Marlene’s life was marked by resilience, independence, and a deep commitment to family and community. She raised three children—Cirsten Denise Moore, John Douglas Moore II, and Bryan Keith Moore—with love and humor and was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Her legacy includes countless memories of family gatherings, holiday meals, and adventures with her grandchildren.
An active member of Lee Heights Community Church, Marlene sang in the choir, played piano, and was renowned for her hospitality and service, including mission work after Hurricane Katrina. She was passionate about social causes, often writing to politicians and celebrities to advocate for the underserved.
Marlene is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. She is remembered for her warmth, wit, and unwavering faith. Her family expresses heartfelt gratitude to all who supported Marlene throughout her journey.
Her legacy: love deeply, laugh often, and serve with all your heart.
