Marsha Denise Shadie was born on February 28, 1957, in Akron, OH to the late George and Mattie Shadie. Marsha was a lifetime resident of Akron, OH, where she graduated from East High School in 1975. Upon graduation, she began working at Goodyear Aerospace, where she stayed for over 20 years. After overcoming struggles with drug addiction, she began working at Legacy III, where she became a mentor to many women who were overcoming the same struggle. Marsha was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and loved to spend time with her family. With an eccentric fashion sense, she loved to shop. The thrift store was her favorite. Marsha was very honest and outspoken. She loved to cook and was known for her famous cheesecakes and barbeque. In her own unique ways, Marsha reminded everyone to go for what they wanted in life because anything is possible.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents, Henry (Udell) Shadie; maternal grandmother, Pearl Hammonds; uncle; Jacob Shadie.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing brother, Karl (Colitta) Shadie; sister, Karen Shadie El; aunt, Janet Shadie; uncle, Jasper Shadie; nieces, Carlitta (Brandon) Davis of Houston, Texas, Courtney Shadie, Myste (Blain) Miller of Seattle, Washington, Mynyon Shadie, and Myyah Shadie; nephews, Mycle Shadie, Karl Shadie Jr., and Mychai Shadie; special uncle, Mike (Judy) Flasco; special cousins, Wanda Shadie, and Johnny Downs; special friends, Tracie Hicks and Patricia Ashford, and a host of great-nieces and nephews, family members, and friends.
