Martha Glenn Blocker passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 14, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Somerville Alabama September 6, 1957, to the late Willie E. and Ida Mae McDaniel. Martha attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from Garfield High School in 1975.

Martha loved serving Jehovah diligently and she was a faithful member of Akron Thornton Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

She was employed with the Social Security Administration. The last place of her employment was with Summit Ophthalmology.

Martha is preceded in death by parents, Willie E. McDaniel, and Ida Mae McDaniel; sister, Elaine McDaniel; brother, Robert Fowler; and stepdaughter, Rasheda Hughes.

She is survived by husband, Ossie L. Blocker; daughter, Glennece McDaniel of Akron; stepdaughters, Tonya (Anthony) Pryor of Charlotte, NC, and Luciana (Lucas) Titmas of Liberia, Africa; stepson, Ossie (Jocelyn) Blocker, Jr. of Akron; brothers, Dwight McDaniel of Phoenix, AZ, Larry (Tina) McDaniel of Columbus, Gary (Demetria) McDaniel and Karron McDaniel both of Akron; sisters, JoAnne Brown, Christine (Ned) Patrick, Mary (David) Pierce and Eloise (Jonathan) Solomon all of Akron; brothers-in-law, Donald (Florence) Blocker of Virginia Beach, VA, Willie Blocker of Decatur, GA and Varna Blocker of Akron; sisters-in-law, Sheila Berry, Deborah and Phyllis Blocker all of Lawrenceville, GA and Gwen (Henry) Lewis of Akron; aunts, Ollie Griswell of Detroit, MI, Margaret Whitfield of Canton and Patricia Gully of Akron, 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
