Mary L. Johnson went home to the Lord on November 13, 2016.
Mary is survived by her husband Anthony Johnson of 49 years. Cherished mother of Donna M. Johnson and Andrea D. Johnson. Loving sister of La Doris Ousley, Ann Jean Miller, Billie (Frank) Anderson, Ethel (Terry) Cole, Quincy Brundidge and Corenda Kimble, Genice (James) Robinson. Grandmother of Leah D. Wooten and many mieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Vonnie Brundidge and R.D. Williams; stepfather Levi Brundidge; and brother, Jimmy Williams.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed attending and working at the church. She donated to several charities and supported agencies that were committed to spreading the Gospel. She was talented in many areas including cooking, sewing, gardening, and decorating. She was considered to be very organized and dedicated to any task given to her.
Mary worked a t Value City for 27 years as a salesperson and was named employee of the year, based on her hard work ethic and commitment to quality. She was known for wearing beautiful hats and fine clothes. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter Leah. She was married to Anthony Johnson who lived across the street from her house for over 49 years. She was dedicated to the education of her two daughters, who she supported through sending them to private schools and college. Mary believed that she could do all things through Christ that strengthened her.
