Mary Louise (Redd) Burns was born March 26, 1951 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the union of Arthur James Redd and Thelma Mary (Grimes) Redd. She was the last of six children. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four of her siblings with one still living.
Mary was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio. She graduated high school from John Adams in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary was also a member of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in 2014 and a supporter of Paralyzed Vets of America in 2015.
Mary departed this life on Wednesday August 14,2024. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children James, Charisse, Sherry, (Tyrone), Y’akee, Olinde, Shenia, (Marki), and grandchildren Tyrone, Keyera, Jejuan, Marissa, Patricia, Markisha, Kenyatta, Olondra, and Janece.
