A LIFE CELEBERATED, A SPIRIT REMEMBERED

Mary Ellen Curry-Price was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 17, 1958.   Her parents are James Curry, (Stepfather Ester R, Bracy and Mother Georgia May Bracy and sister Sharon Curry who all preceded her in death.  Mary made her final transition on July 27, 2024, into the arms of her Father in Heaven.

At a very early age Mary love education and school and proceeded to make the honor and merit rolls throughout her years of education.  Her journey of learning and growth was a testament to her determination.  A graduate of John Hay High School in 1976 and then she preceded in life where she rec’d her culinary certification and worked at Saint Luke hospital for 10 years.  She then went back to college and rec’d her bachelor’s degree where she graduated from The University of Toldeo in medical Encoding/Terminology and worked for various hospitals throughout the University Hospitals.

Mary was passionate about cooking.  She didn’t mind sharing her recipes or cooking techniques.  Everyone loved her cooking and would never turn down a plate. She was a jack of all trades and very passionate about her children and grandkids.  Her nurturing nature extended beyond her own children as she was unhesitant, willing to guide and correct not only her children but also others around her.  She was well loved and touched each one in her own way.  Mary loved to travel and have been all over the county.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory her husband Jeffrey Price, her sons Deshon Curry and Dion Curry (daughter-in-law Shaniece).  Her grandchildren Dailon, Maleea, Mahkel, Bri’Ell, Nalani, Reign Curry and Kaiden Brown.

Her brothers Raymond and Cheryl Curry (sis in law), James Curry, Kevin Curry, William and Adrian and Lynette Curry (sis in law).  One sister Angel and Robert Nicholson Sr (bro in law).  Brother and sister-in-law Eric and Roselyn Price.   Denise Price (sis in law).

Her God sister Myla L Crowell and close and dearest friend Noni Marshall.
