Michael Douglas Campbell was born November 28, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio to Christopher & Dorothy Campbell. Michael was the third of four children blessed from this union.
Michael was a man of faith, baptized at 11 years old at Fifth Christian Church Disciples of Christ and putting his faith to action as an adult of Bethany Christian Church. He was passionate about his faith and worked to instill these characteristics in his children.
Michael had a zest for life; starting off his early career in the military serving his country in the army and received an Honorable Discharge. After the military, Michael went on to work as a caregiver for Cuyahoga County which opened an opportunity for him to begin a career at the United States Post Office. Michael worked for the Post Office for many years as a mail handler where he retired in 2008. He also owned a hair salon & barber shop honing his skills in communication and sales. Michael was a natural born entrepreneur, he could sell anything at any given time. Michael was passionate about many things, such as travel, taking care of his dog, enriching his financial portfolio, and staying on top of global events. Michael embraced life’s adventures; traveling often to Ghana, Jamaica, Europe, and dreamt of further travels in the years ahead.
Michael’s first marriage was to Antonia Williams and together they had four children. Michael later remarried to Cynthia Kunya and together they had two children. Michael worked hard to ensure that his children strived to be their very best, well-rounded and intelligent people.
The Lord called Michael home from labor to reward on March 30, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Christopher and Dorothy Campbell. Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Cynthia; daughters Kinshasa, Michelle, Dorothy, and Makayla; sons, Michael, Myles, Maximus, and Magnificent; Seven grandchildren, Haleigh, Levi, Eli, Aleigha, Gabriel, Marleigh, and Malachi; Sister, Christine (Walter) Mathews; brothers, Christopher (Carla) and Mark (Yolanda). Two nieces, Ashley, and Lia; one nephew, Matthew; one great niece, Averi; his faithful dog Dreco; and a host of other family and friends. He will surely be missed.
