Michelle Monique (Blash) Harris, affectionately known as “Tootie,” was born November 19, 1967, to Gloria and David Blash in Akron, Ohio. She was the youngest of nine children. She was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio, and attended Finley Elementary, Jennings Middle School, and graduated from North High School in 1987.
During her senior year of high school, she met the love of her life, William Harris. The two became one in 1991, and from their union had two children, Jason and Jasmine Harris. Together, Michelle and William shared 31 years of love, friendship, and togetherness that others adored and cherished.
Michelle was a devoted Christian and a member of Faith Temple Church of the Living God in Akron, Ohio.
She dedicated her life to the care of others and worked at Pebble Creek Healthcare Center as an STNA for 27 years. Michelle loved life and her family.
She loved fishing, traveling, skating, bike riding, walking her furry son Draco, curling up with her feline daughter Nala, and spending quality time with her best friend and partner, Will. Michelle adored her grandchildren and always kept them near and dear to her heart. She was an awesome cook and best noted for her macaroni and cheese, peach cobbler, and pot roast, to name a few of her best dishes.
Michelle was the kindest and sweetest person you will ever meet and will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and David Blash; parents-in-law, Stanley and Betty Harris; grandparents, Lonnie and Dorothy Reed; brothers, Lonnie Westbrook, Duane Johnson, and Mark Johnson; sister, LaFawnya Williams; sister-in-law, Lisa Harris; and nephew, Tony Page.
Michelle leaves to cherish her memory, husband, William Harris; son, Jason Blash (Crystal); daughter, Jasmine (Jalessa) Hithon; grandsons, Xavier, Jason Jr., and Damien; granddaughters, Paige, Brooklyn, Jaidyn, Italy-Rose, Jalace, and Ja’nevieve; Godgranddaughter, Savannah; brothers, Richard Westbrook, and Dennis Johnson; sisters, Sabrina Liggins and Tanya Johnson; sister-in-law, Brenda Cooper, special nieces, Marqeita Johnson and Rochelle Harris; special nephew, Mark Johnson, Jr.; Goddaughter, Cassy Dubay; Godson, Greg Weaver; 17 nieces and nephews; 6 great-nephews; 1 great-niece, and a host of cousins, friends, and family members.
