Miesha “2Mini” Mignon Mi-chole Rogers born on July 17, 1976, who departed this world on Friday, March 21, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She was preceded in death by her devoted father, Theodore A. Rivers; her nurturing mother, Marilyn E. Rivers; and her brother, Theodore “Pookie” Rivers Jr. Miesha’s spirit, however, will continue to shine brightly through those she leaves behind.

Miesha is survived by her loving siblings: Joyce Rivers, Robin Rivers, Hazel Futch, Marquetta Truss, Misty Beasley, Montoyia Weir, and Mykia Ferrell. Her family circle also includes her two cherished godsons, Johnte Colvin and Andrew Banks, who will always remember her as a guiding light in their lives. Among her closest friends was Latoyia Colvin-Deck, who stood by Miesha through thick and thin. Additionally, she leaves behind a community of special friends, including Cynthia Reeder, Kenya Stephens, Yolonda Herring, Casandra Clemons, Kim Averett, Stacy Mills, Erniece Winfield, Bridget Richardson, Kareen Covington, Kristy Brown, Rhonda Blake and the entire crew from OSU, Baltimore, and Houston Southwest—each holding a piece of her heart.

Miesha was a proud graduate of Garfield High School, where she was not only crowned the 1994 Homecoming Queen but also served as Student Council Vice President. Her high school years were marked by her spirited participation in All-City Volleyball, track and field, and as a cheerleader for the South Rangers. Miesha’s leadership and enthusiasm were evident from a young age, culminating in her attainment of a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1999.

Her professional journey took flight as a flight attendant. She first earned her wings with Mesa Airlines in 2003 and later joined the Southwest Airlines family in 2005 class 220 where her vibrant personality earned her the title of most spirited in her training class. Miesha’s love for travel allowed her to explore the world while forming lifelong friendships with her colleagues, whom she considered family. Her infectious laughter and joyful demeanor made her a favorite among passengers and crew alike.

Miesha’s zest for life was evident in her love for spending time with family and friends. She had a unique ability to make any gathering feel special, whether it was hosting a game night or simply sharing a meal. Her quick wit and humor were legendary, capable of lifting spirits and brightening even the gloomiest days. A true social butterfly, Miesha embraced life with open arms, ensuring that each day was filled with joy, connection, and laughter.

An avid fan of reality TV, Miesha kept her friends and family updated on the latest trends in entertainment, eagerly discussing new movies and the latest celebrity gossip. One of her most memorable birthday celebrations was when she rented the Baddies Mansion in Atlanta, inviting over 30 of her closest friends for a weekend of unforgettable bonding and fun. This epic gathering epitomized her belief that life should be celebrated with gusto and gratitude. The laughter shared and the memories created during that “hot girl summer” in Hotlanta will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who attended.

In addition to her love for entertainment, Miesha was an avid roller skater and motorcycle rider, known for her carefree spirit and enthusiasm for adventure. She was often the first to hit the dance floor, greeting everyone with her signature call of “ayyyyyeeeee!” Her passion for music and dance brought life to every occasion, and her energy was contagious, inspiring those around her to join in the celebration.

Miesha “2Mini” Rogers was a remarkable individual whose light, love, and light-hearted nature will be forever remembered. Her ability to connect with others, her unwavering support for her friends and family, and her infectious laughter will leave an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the joy she brought to our lives. May her spirit continue to inspire us to embrace each day with the same enthusiasm and love that she exemplified so beautifully.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of the transition of this dear sister. I met her at Garfield as she was 2 years younger than I. My cousin Roxsann made sure to let me know that she was Misty’s younger sister and that we have to look after her. During my senior year, I drove “2 Mini,” Darrita and myself to homecoming. I viewed them both as younger sisters. Misty,, you and your dear sisters are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest Easy 2Mini Job Well Done! Your Beautiful Smile and your Kind Uplifting Spirit will truly be missed. You exuded Happiness Love Kindness Class Intelligence Strength and Pure Realness. Dear Heavenly Father, in this time of sorrow, we lift our weary hearts to You. We ask for Your loving embrace to surround this grieving family. May they find solace in Your constant presence and feel the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. O Lord, grant them strength for each step of the way.
