Mikayla Ranae Pickett, affectionately called “Kay Kay”, received her heavenly wings, and now resides with the Lord. Kay Kay was tragically taken away from us on August 15, 2020. This has left the family broken and we will never be the same. Mikayla was born on December 21, 2011, to Shoskamika Risper (Itty) and Edward Pickett (Ed). She loved God and going to church. She attended Akron Public Schools and was going to attend Portage Path CLC in the 3rd grade. She attended ABC Clubhouse Academy (Daycare Center). She also was in Girl Scouts, Gymnastics, cheered for South Rangers, and the Akron Titans. Dancing was something she truly loved, and she wanted to be a dancer. She enjoyed dancing to all types of music, such as gospel to hip hop and she also was a member of the dance team, CLUTCH. She was something else. She loved school, arts/crafts, playing with dolls, gymnastics, cheerleading, doing tumbles/backflips, coloring and she really enjoyed doing Tick Tok all the time. She loved to eat anything hot. She loved to do hair and, for an eight-year-old, she was getting pretty good. Kay Kay was full of life, she loved life and she loved her family and friends. She loved to learn, and she was very smart. Anytime she was around, she made it known. Her laugh was something we will not forget. Her personality was out of this world. She enjoyed family functions and having a good time. She loved being on the phone or any kind of technology. If you were looking for your phone and she was around, you best believed she had it. She enjoyed watching TV and scary movies with her mom. She loved her mom, dad, brothers, sisters, family, and friends. She loved to pick out her own outfits and getting dressed up and getting her hair done. You might see Kay Kay with the prettiest dress on with those rainboots, which she loved to wear a lot. Mikayla Ranae Pickett loved being a kid. Kay Kay was loved by so many. We are so so grateful and thankful to have eight years of great loving memories of Kay Kay. She had a loving spirit, kind heart, and a beautiful infectious smile.
