Her family migrated north to Cleveland, Ohio where she resided most of her life. She accepted Christ as a teenager and became a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Her magnetism along with an outgoing persona was her forte to energize and encourage others toward upward mobility which she was known for throughout her life. Mil loved and enjoyed her work with people in many aspects. Few people can honestly say they loved their jobs, she did. Her job was her passion, Mil was a true people person. Again, while performing her job, she met and eventually in 1990 married Mr. Willie Lawrence Sr., to this union one son was born. They enjoyed more than 30 wonderful years together before his passing in 2015. They were both members of Unity Faith Missionary Baptist Church at the time of their passing.
