Mildred Dotson-Smith, (The Royal Arch Queen Of Honor) a life beautifully designed and perfected in angelic ingenuity, seasoned with the Good Will of The True Light of Life, begin her sojourn of this life On May 1st, 1931, in Anniston, Alabama. She was born unto the Union of Phillip Henry Dotson and Lillie Kate Cunningham-Dotson, (The Royal Arch Queen Of Mercy-Two).
The Dotson Family relocated to Cleveland Ohio, in 1940, and Mildred was educated in the Cleveland Public School System.
The joy bells of love begin to ring in a harmonious degree of splendor, and she was joined in holy matrimony to Earnest Joesph Smith in the year of 1950. In this union of devotion and love, five children were born: Earnest Jr, Mary-Ann, Michelle, Anthony, and Delores.
Mildred grew up in a strong God Fearing & Christ centered family who were obedient to the works of The Almighty and His Son Christ Jesus. The strong principles of Christ were instilled within her at an early age, which resulted in her becoming a lifelong member of The Almighty Church. She was anointed in the spirit by Susanna Hicks, (The Royal Arch Bishopene Of Truth) with the Spiritual Name Of Good Will. Due to her ardent love and obedience to God, and her love and charity to humanity, she was elevated to the Spirit Of Honor. Because of her Christ centered sojourn and her right reverence to The Almighty; in the year of 2002, She was elevated to The Royal Arch Queen Of Knowledge and The Cabinet Queen Of Honor which is a Glorious and Divine appointment that The Director General Of The Holy Trinity Association, Lena McElrath (The Royal Arch Queen Of Wisdom) stated that she was “Worthy of”! (Isiah Fourth Chapter).
On July 17th, 1940, Mildred had the unique opportunity to be one of the original Nineteen Children of “The Almighty Church-Annual Children’s Day”, which was held on Eightieth Street, in Cleveland Ohio.
This was a day of scriptural origins, where children were shown love and trained on the importance of saving money, and the proper necessities of life.
Mildred loved gardening and growing vegetables; and she had a special love for flowers such as Carnations, Purple Passion, Sunflowers, and Petunias. Mildred was a kind and loving person, a trait that she inherited from her mother. She would distribute food with love to neighbors, family, and friends. She loved family gatherings, birthdays, and weddings, and whatever she could do to assist anyone in need, she did it with Love and Great Joy.
Mildred worked for The Cleveland Board Of Education for twenty-five years and she operated a cleaning service and a restaurant in the City Of Cleveland.
On April 25th, 2025, at 7:00 AM, The Angels Called her name, took her by the hand, and lead her to her eternal rest in The New Jerusalem City. As she entered in at gate Seven in that Great City Of Lights, she was embraced by the words of scripture, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved parents: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dotson; husband Earnest Smith Sr.; siblings Earnestine (Peter) Benson; Virginia (Robert) Howard; Clarence (Louise) Dotson; Jocelyn (Jimmy) Gaston; and Michael (Ruth) Dotson. Her children Earnest (Shyvonne) Smith Jr.; Michelle (Ronald) Coleman; Dolores (David) Hailey; and grandson Myron Smith.
The Glorious Scintillating Flame of Her life will be remembered and cherished by all that she has touched, and all that she has influenced. Mildred leaves this world a better place because she lived an efficient life enriched with Love, Honor, Knowledge, Strength, and Resilience.
Her memory will be cherished by countless family members, including her daughter- Mary Ann (Edward) Bolin; her son- Anthony (Melissa) Smith, and daughter-in-love- Shyvonne Smith (wife of the late Earnest Smith;). Twelve Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren, and Three Great, Great Grandchildren.
She is also lovingly remembered by her devoted Sisters and Companion Arch Queens: Theresa Dotson (The Royal Arch Queen Of Truth) and Faith Dotson (The Royal Arch Queen Of Love), and a host of family and friends.
The family extends great appreciation to her nieces: Charity Dotson- for her daily care, love, and unwavering support in ensuring Mildred’s comfort and dignity; Kimberly Dotson- for her graceful support in domestic services of love; Denise Manning- for her love and caring in countless ways of unmeasurable devotions.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take solace in the Ninety-Three wonderful years the Lord blessed us with her presence. We are forever grateful to everyone who brought joy to her life with their kindness, prayers, and companionship.
