Minnie Louise Dudley Hughes Tyler, known to everyone as “Louise”, was born October, 1933 in Osierfield, GA to the late Willie Frank Dudley and Rebecca Walker Dudley. She is preceded in death by husband, Clifford Tyler; sister, Annette Granger and brother, Roland Reams; daughter, Willetta McCray; son-in-law, Freeman McCray Jr. and great granddaughter, WarnieJae McCray.

Louise grew up in Jackson Beach, Florida and moved to Akron, Ohio, where she remained until her passing. She enrolled and graduated from Cosmetology school and specialized in hair weaving, which led her to be one of few in Akron for many years. Louise’s career as a beautician lasted for over 60 years, working in various hair salons throughout Akron, Ohio and Ravenna, Ohio, where she met many people who became her close friends.

Louise was a great cook and loved to cook for family and friends as her house was always open to receive them.

Louise loved life, loved the Lord and loved her family and friends. She was a devoted member and missionary of Hill’s Temple until she was unable to attend.

Walter Dudley, Nathaniel (Gwendolyn) Williams, Manuel Hughes and Michael Hughes; daughter, Letecia (Eric) Tyler Cunningham; brothers, Willard (Lynette) Dudley and James Dudley; sisters, Reva Dolores Henderson, Theresa Knight and Tonette Arnold; grandchildren, Erika Williams, Lisha (Dwayne) West, Wanetta (Kenneth) Robinson, Warren (Darlonda) McCray, Fredelia (Teddy) Holloman, Jason Dudley, Farrah (Avery) Keitt, Freeman McCray, India (Damon) Moore, Shenea (Mel) Jones, Shenese Williams and Michael Prewitt; great grandchildren, Stephen Wells, Jr., Willetta Shepherd, Destine McCray, Lisha Williams, Shurelle Stewart, Leroy Shepherd, Warren McCray, Devontae McCray, DaWarren McCray, Warnaejia McCray, Kenneth Robinson, Morgan Hall, Meghan Hall, Kayla Robinson, R’Monee Brown, Ava Keitt, Brooklyn Keitt, Taylor Holloman, Te’Breyon Holloman, Danica Moore, Dacian Moore, Janae Davis, Journey Davis, Cinque Griffin, Cydnee Griffin, Stephon Griffin, Aja Dudley and Jayden Jones; great-great grandchildren, Payton McCray, Kailyn McCray, Olivia Williams and Dy’Rion Shepherd; special nieces, Reva Golden and Paula Sawyer; special nephew, James Golden; church family at Hill’s Temple, sisters-in-Christ, Donna June Hill and Minister Peggy Holmes and godson, Andre Hill; and a host of other family and friends from all the lives she touched over the years.
