Earnest /Ernest , 93, lived in Cleveland Ohio born to Emma & Sanders Davis Sr. passed away peacefully on November 4th 2021, surrounded by family and loved ones. Earnest grew up in Madison Alabama, then for a number of years He worked as a chemist at Ohio soap company and owned his own cleaning service. His hobbies and loves included playing cards at parties, being around family, making “spirits” or alcohol, and being a self proclaimed jack of all trades. He will always be the strong person of our family that loves blues and his family. He had the mouth of gas, he would talked to anybody who would listen. His favorite sayings is “I’m floppy but I just can’t fly”, and “a person would take a lie on credit rather than the truth for cash”, and “ I don’t want nothing old but gold, nothing fat but a bankroll and nothing black but a Cadillac.”
Earnest will be missed dearly and always remembered.
Earnest was predeceased by Parents (Emma and Sanders Davis Sr.) His wife( Bessie May Davis) Brothers (Pat, Sam, Peter, and Johnny) Children ( Mary, Brenda Q., Beverly,Ann, and Floyd) Grandchildren (Manuel, Raynard, and David) Daughter In Laws (Elizabeth and Linda) Son In Laws (Geff, Warren Sr.,and Lambert Sr.) . He is survived by Brother (Sander Jr.) Sisters (Sara and Cora) Children (Paul (Alabama), earnestine (struthers oh, Carl(Thelma), Annette, Ernest Jr(Mary), Judy, Tony (Andrea) Pittsburgh California, Brenda L., Marie(Malcom)and Darwin (Cleveland Ohio) a host of nieces, nephews, grandkid, great grandkids, great great grandkids, great great great grandkids and great great great great grandkids. Two very special nephews (Lorenzo Miller and Harold “Buddy” Davis)
