Patricia Ann Ware, blessed this world with her presence on December 1, 1950. Born in the tiny “Steel Mill” town of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, she would ultimately go on to travel the entire globe.
She transcended peacefully on January 23, 2026, after a sudden heart-related illness. Patricia was the eldest of three siblings, born to Betty Scott, her life was a testament to love and resilience.
Patricia grew up in Lorain, Ohio, where she lived with her grandparents during her elementary school years. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1969 and later pursued her passion for caring for others through studies at Cuyahoga Community College and later at the Ursuline College of Nursing.
She married her junior high school sweetheart, Charles, on June 19, 1971, and together they shared fifty-four and a half wonderful years of marriage. This union would produce their three cherished children. Following the passing of her mother Betty Scott, Patricia would also take on the additional challenge and responsibility of raising her two teenage sisters. This was a true reflection of her generous spirit and commitment to family.
Patricia’s professional career began at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, where she touched many lives during her 20 years of service. She later devoted several more years to the Visiting Nurses Association, showing compassion and dedication to caring for others until retirement.
In retirement, Patricia found joy in traveling the world, cooking delicious meals for friends and family, shopping, and creating beautiful spaces through interior decorating. She was also a devoted member of New Community Bible Fellowship, actively participating in Marriage Support Small Groups.
She leaves behind a legacy filled with love, kindness, and friendship. Patricia is survived by her devoted husband Charles, three cherished children Lamar (Cotrice), Daymon (Doria), and Erica (Amy), two sisters Lugenia Scott (deceased), and Arnetta Scott, as well as six grandchildren Kayla, Lamar Jr., Elias, Ariana, Leandra, Cassandra, beloved in-laws, multiple nieces and nephews, and a host of family and lifelong friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Patricia will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.
