A time to be born…

Pearlie Bernice was the only child born to Mr. Dave Conerly and Jewel Price on June 3, 1925, in Leesville, LA.

A time to die…

Pearlie made her peaceful transition surrounded by family and loved ones on June 30, 2022.

A time to plant…

Pearlie received her early education and graduation through the Leesville, LA public school system. Pearlie also was graced to be a child of God, saved and filled with the spirit at a very early  age and has maintained that relationship with God.

A time to love…

Pearlie was the proud wife of Rev. Clifton Crenshaw Sr. and to this blessed union eight children were born. She was also blessed to mother many other children. Pearlie was known to be a mother to the neighborhood, and had no problem feeding, correcting, and loving any children.(She was everybody’s mother)

Pearlie was known as the cook of all cooks; she was known for her versions recipes and valued their secrecy. There was no entrepreneur greater than Pearlie who knew the key of making money. This quality she has passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Pearlie also had another quality which was the protector of those she loved. Pearlie used her home unselfishly to help many because she believed everyone was important and had worth. Pearlie was also an avid traveler, and she lived her life to the fullest and encouraged all to do so.
