Raymond was born in Akron, Ohio and attended Akron Public Schools. Raymond was previously employed at Chrysler Corporation. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed going to casinos and traveling. He attended New Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Raymond was a devoted father and grandfather, brother to his surviving siblings; especially his sister LaVonne who adored him.
He was preceded in death by mother, Willie P. Barnes; father, Herbert L. Hamilton Sr., wife, JoAnn Wynn Hamilton; sister, Annie P. Rigby; brothers, Herbert L. Hamilton Sr., Albert L. Hamilton Sr., Milton M. Hamilton Sr. and Wilbert Hamilton Sr.
Raymond is survived by his children, Kelley J. Hamilton, Raymond Douglas Hamilton Jr., Dyemon (Kevin) Tyler, Perry Wynn, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Willie F. (Shirley) Hamilton; sister, LaVonne Barnes; sister-in-law, Gloria Wynn.
